Verão no Hemisfério Sul

Synopsis: Although the Earth's orbit around the Sun is an ellipse, not a circle, the distance from Earth to the Sun varies only 3%, while the Earth is closest to the Sun in January. But it's easy to remember that the northern hemisphere of the Earth is also closest to the Sun in January and it is winter there, while it is summer in the southern hemisphere.
