Synopsis: The image shows the structure of a transformer used to lower a 230 V to 12 V. This reduction only is determined by the difference in the number of turns contained in the coil known as primary element and the coil known as secondary element. The ratio between the voltages established by primary and secondary is equal to the ratio between the number of turns contained in each of these elements.
