Description

Synopsis: In this video, Professor Marlus presents the Literature class, focusing on the Romantic period (1836-1881). In this second part, Professor Marlus talks about Romanticism and its part in prose, highlighting the work "The Moreninha", by Joaquim Manuel de Macedo, who initiated the Romantic prose. It also presents the works of José de Alencar, showing the aspects that the author wrote: urban romantic novels, indianista, historical and regionalist. Among the highlights of his works are urban novels "Luciola" and "Lady"; and Indianists as "Ubirajara", "Iracema" - India with im- lips, and "O Guarani". Among the regionalist novels, he cites the works of Franklin Tavora, Bernardo Guimarães and Viscount of Taunay. Finally, cites the works of the Pre-realistic Romance.
