Description

Synopsis: learn more about how the hydrological cycle of the largest continental wetland of the planet, the Pantanal, works. Every year the flood cycle in the Pantanal is repeated, providing the renewal of fauna and flora. The ecological balance depends on the constant movement of the rising and falling of the waters that begins in November, with the high of the rivers that causes the floods in the plain. But in May, the rains stop and the waters lower. It is a unique but fragile place. Any change in this hydrological cycle can jeopardize its rich biodiversity.
