Synopsis: In this video, Professor Marlus presents the Literature class, focusing on the periods Realism, Naturalism and Parnassianism. In this part the teacher talks about Machado de Assis, his history, characteristics and artistic productions of the Realist and Romanticist phases, the latter where he stood out with the works "Posthumous Memories of Brás Cubas", "Quincas Borba", "Dom Casmurro" "Esau and Jacob" and "Memorial of Aires". The teacher also cites his most important tales: "The fortune teller" and "Mass of the Rooster".
