Almirante Tamandaré [Construtores do Brasil]

Synopsis: It presents video of the series Builders of Brazil. In this episode is told the story of Joaquim Marques Lisboa, known as Almirante Tamandaré, the patron of the Brazilian Navy. Admiral Tamandaré was very important for the maintenance of unity and peace in Brazil during the regency period. Among his accomplishments is the spectacular Brazilian victory in the then largest naval battle of the Americas, that of Riachuelo (1865), in the Paraguayan War.
