It describes the return of Dom João VI to Portugal and the permanence of Dom Pedro I in Brazil; the Monarchical Constitution of 1824; the death of Dom João VI and the return of Dom Pedro I to Portugal beginning the Regulative Period and the inauguration of Dom Pedro II as Emperor of Brazil.
